Judge Blocks Land Exchange Again!

This afternoon, we received notification that a federal judge is stopping the Oak Flat land exchange from transferring sacred land to a megamining corporation. This sixty-day emergency injunction will allow the court time to review several of the ongoing lawsuits challenging Resolution Copper from destroying this land forever.

Wendsler Nosie Sr. of Apache Stronghold states regarding the emergency injuction today, “So many days of praying, a weekend of heavy hearts, strong prayers for Oak Flat, for people to do things the honest way, to do things fair. It clearly shows from the Apache Stronghold case, that this is wrong, it's always been wrong since day one. If Resolution Copper is to receive this land, there's going to be tremendous disasters coming. What's sad is the United States government knows it. They know. It’s been clearly stated in every hearing, from the Apache Stronghold case, to the facts of the San Carlos Apache Tribe to the Environmentalists. Even their position in the cases clearly say it's wrong, but because of what John McCain and Congress did, it forbids them to do the right thing. This Injunction comes in a desperate time of asking for miracles, all over the country and all over the world, and to be granted this, for the United States government to do the right thing, not allowing a foreign mining company to take what's precious from the people as far as the religion and the water and everything that sustains us in life, we welcome this decision that was made.”

It makes me wonder with all this evidence where our Arizona Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallegos stand. They can do something to STOP THIS!
